A graduate from Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Ken earned his undergraduate degree from Central Washington University. His 28 years of experience highlights his expertise as a specific spinal practitioner. He is a long-standing member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association. Dr. Ken owns and operates Klahanie Chiropractic in Issaquah with his wife, Marci. A past state championship basketball player, Dr. Ken loves to play golf, attend high school and professional sporting events and have fun with his family.

Dr. Benjamin Britton, DC,
Co-founder of Snoqualmie Ridge Chiropractic

Graduating from Western States Chiropractic College, Dr. Ben received his undergraduate degree at Western Washington University. He earned his postgraduate degree in Sports Medicine and is certified with the National Board of Chiropractic. He has worked with Klahanie Chiropractic since 2001 and has served as chiropractic/medical support doctor at sporting events. He, his wife and their two children live at Snoqualmie Ridge. Dr. Ben is an avid sailor, soccer player and trumpeter.

Dr. Stephen Gootkind, DC

A graduate from Life Chiropractic College, Dr. Steve received his undergraduate degree at the University Of Massachusetts, where he studied Exercise Physiology and Biomechanics. Dr. Steve specializes in detecting and correcting spinal misalignments as well as treating various injuries – believing that a healthy spine, exercise, and a good diet lead to a healthier life. His hobbies include hiking and fitness training. He played rugby at Life College and was on the US National Rugby Team.

Daniel Ruiz, LMP

Daniel Ruiz, LMP,  has been a licensed massage practitioner since 2003, earning certifications in sports massage and reflexology from the Ashmead College. His passion is performing sports and therapeutic massage.  For the majority of his career, Daniel has been partnering with chiropractors.  He blends a mixture of acupressure, trigger point therapy, and deep tissue massage for maximum effectiveness.  He also incorporates sports-specific stretching for athletes and everyday clients.  In his spare time, Daniel enjoys working out, hiking, and fishing with his family on the Eastside.

Julie Ann Johnson, LMP

Julie Ann Johnson, LMP, is a 2007 graduate of Northwest School of Massage in Kirkland, WA. After being a stay-at-home mom for 16 years, she is eager to share her belief that massage therapy can be a powerful ally in everyone’s health regimen. She enjoys hiking, skiing, spectator sports and music. She lives in Issaquah with her three teenage children. Julie Ann is contracted by Regence Blue Shield insurance plus many other plans for the Snoqualmie Ridge clinic.

Marci Lichtenwalter, Chief Operating Officer

Marci grew up in Pennsylvania and graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Communications. She met her husband, Dr. Ken Lichtenwalter, in Lake Tahoe California where she enjoyed a career as a radio broadcaster. The two married in 1987 and worked together in their first clinic, Tahoe City Chiropractic. In 1990, the Lichtenwalters moved to Washington state where they have successfully owned and operated chiropractic clinics ever since. Marci and Ken have two teenage children. “In my free time, I like to do Pilates, go kayaking, and listen to outdoor concerts. But most of all, I enjoy my family and friends.”

Heather Fraser, Accounts Manager/Office Manager

Heather, Your Neighborhood Heathcare Center's Office Manager and Billing Specialist, has been with Klahanie Chiropractic for more than four years. For the past nine years, she has lived in the Issaquah/Snoqualmie Ridge area, where her children attend school. Previously, she worked in customer service at SeaTac Airport for more than a decade. “I have two amazing children plus one crazy, fat dog. In addition, I enjoy working out, reading and peaceful family moments.”

Star*Berry, Patient Manager

Star joined Klahanie Chiropractic more than two years ago as patient manager and now supports the Snoqualmie Ridge clinic as well. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas, and has been together with him for 20 years. They moved to Sammamish three years ago from Oregon City. While living in Oregon, she worked in a chiropractic office for 13 years. “My passions include gardening, putting in a large vegetable garden every year, reading, bicycling and also target shooting.”
